How much does software for a fitness gym cost?
With 4gym the cost is the monthly subscription of the plan you pick. The plan sets how many members, trainers and locations the account can hold and which functions are included; the date-range report and extra locations, for instance, exist only on the plans that include them.
Short answer
- You pay the monthly subscription of the plan you pick, not a separate fee per member or per trainer; plans start at €1 a month, with hosting of the application included.
- The plan sets the account limits — members, trainers and locations — so a larger club needs a plan with higher limits.
- The date-range report and extra locations come only with the plans that include them; current prices and limits are on the pricing page.
- 4gym does not connect to turnstiles or card readers: the front desk validates each membership by hand, so there is no hardware to buy in order to use the software.
- 4gym does not send SMS or e-mail messages to members and does not issue invoices: there are no message bundles to pay for, and for invoicing there is a separate product, 4invoices.
What you pay for (components)
The cost components of fitness gym software
| Component | What the 4gym subscription includes | What stays outside it |
|---|---|---|
| Platform and hosting | A monthly subscription per plan; the application runs online, with no server of your own | A computer or tablet with a browser and internet access at the front desk |
| Members, memberships, classes | Records of members, memberships, classes and bookings, within the plan limits | Beyond the plan limits you move up to a larger plan |
| Date-range report and several locations | Only on the plans that include them | On the other plans you keep the overview and a single location |
| Member payments | A manual, non-fiscal ledger: cash, card collected separately, bank transfer, other, with voiding by reason | Card processing, invoices and fiscal receipts happen outside 4gym |
| Hardware and member messages | Not included: 4gym does not connect to turnstiles and does not send messages | The front desk validates by hand, and you contact members yourself |
Practical example
Example: a club with 500 members, a single location and 3 trainers. On the pricing page you look for the smallest plan whose limits cover all three figures. If you also want the date-range report (receipts by currency, entries, memberships started, bookings), you check that the plan includes it. The price stays that of the plan: it does not rise with each new member as long as you stay under the limits.
Common mistakes
- Comparing only the monthly price, without checking the plan's limits on members and trainers.
- Buying a turnstile or a reader on the assumption that the software can drive it — 4gym does not connect to access hardware.
- Expecting invoices, fiscal receipts or online payments from 4gym, when the payments ledger is manual and non-fiscal.
- Picking the cheapest plan without checking whether you need the date-range report or a second location.
How 4gym helps
- A single monthly subscription per plan, with no separate fee per member or per trainer.
- Members, memberships, classes, trainers, front desk and manual payment records in the same account, within the plan limits.
- Clear limits set by the plan: when you reach one, the application tells you so and you move to a larger plan.
